There's Life Outside of Filming

June 25th was both the best and worst day of filming yet. At 3:30 am, we put the camera away, the feeling of exhaustion and success fresh on our faces.

Major fight scene #2 is completed.
Thank god.
I have a brand new appreciation for dancers.

Aside from that, life is good. We shot five times the last week and a half. We just lost our female lead for a month, and we're about to lose one of our main supporting guys to the army on the 7th which means we have to rush some shit this week. After the 7th though, its smooth sailing. I'm pretty stoked.

Drove to New York with my dad yesterday. Saw the cousins. Saw the crazy aunt. <3 the grandparents. Didn't sleep well. Went clothes shopping with Grandma, then went out to dinner with everyone. Saw Wanted with Dad tonight. 3.5/5.

Have taken a break from Hunter. Started a new thing that's been in my head for a while. Working title is "All American Kids". Got through like half a chapter before finally falling asleep last night. The premise involves the realistic actions of teenagers given superpowers and the consequences that follow. As many things that I've written, there's a fair bit of random, unnecesary violence and some pretty good humor. The biggest difference between this and things I've written in the past is that the romantic subplot is actually pretty important to the main story line.

And the fact that about 80 percent of the cast is modeled off real people.

Complete random, but has anyone else ever realized that the thoughts we hate the most tend to creep up on us specifically when we're trying to sleep. It kind of sucks especially when those thoughts get you angry. Anger and sleep go together about as well as milk and spaghetti.

Oh yeah.
I got into Umass Amherst.

Filming Again

Filming has been pretty crazy. Shot almost all of Sam's scenes including our first major action sequence. The blood is actually very Kill Billish which I guess is good. Solly steals all his scenes, but Sam was unbelievably competent with any action bit.

Filming In Boston

Filmed a little more today. Mostly just scenery and visuals.

Have Berri set for thursday and friday. Too bad she's leaving for philly soon. We have to cram in a boatload of her scenes over a few days. Its... Kind of a bitch and a half, but whatever, we'll deal.

Greg Hart and Kevin Gaughan are life savers in terms of crew. Someone buy them camels or something.

2-1 Win Over Elks.

Had the walk off base hit in the 10th inning. Game was tied 1-1. On an 0-2 count no less.
We win.
I get mobbed by the rest of the team David Ortiz style.
Coolest feeling ever.

I don't think I've ever smiled that much.

Daytona Beach: Round 2

Last day in Florida. Went to Daytona again. Waves were about a thousand times better. Not much to say there. Got a recharger for the gameboy so it looks like its Pokemon for the whole trip back.
Fuck. Yeah.

Got pizza tonight and have been watching Family Guy with the other fellas for the last three hours. What a good trip.

Disney, BB Guns and Ninja Stars

Magic Kingdom was awesome. Brier Rabbit needs his own TV show.

Failed at getting into the 70s club. Knew I should have gotten the fake ID when I had the chance.

Oh well.

Went into the local amusement part. Go-carting was a blast. Kind of wish there was a cute girl around instead of just Victor. Not that having Victor around was bad. It just had a real "date" atmosphere. The real romantic kind.

Also it seemed like it was taken right out of the 1960s which was awesome. Actually it reminded me a lot of Coney Island. Eh, whatever.

Went into town and got a ninja star. Reasonably blunt but still freaking cool.

Collectively, Steve and Richie got 4 BB guns, a throwing star and a crossbow gun. Yeah, you read right. A crossbow gun. Was not aware they made those. Was tempted to by a bowie knife or a desert eagle but settled on the star.

Went to Daytona beach today. Pretty amazing. Ate at Bubba-Gump shrimp company. Going back tomorrow.

Florida

So far:

Bought volumes 1 and 2 of Ex Machina. Kind of like the West Wing with super powers. Pretty solid. I'll probably buy the rest.

Car trip was really good. Stopped in Virgina the first night. Roomed with Richie and Steve. Slept very well.

Stopped in Orlando. Decided to screw Miami and stay at the super awesome hotel.

Our Room: 2 bedrooms, a kitchen with a table, silver wear and plates, a living room, and 2 bathrooms. Pool, Jacuzzi and game room also. Really, really, really sweet.

Sleeping Situation: Room 1- Me + Richie. Room 2 (with tv)- Solly + Victor. Living Room pullout bed- Steve.

Went food shopping today while Richie was napping from a dehydration induced headache. The pool was really good. Like diving into a bath or something. Went into Downtown Disney after dinner, which is this new shopping district that wasn't there when I was seven. Bought some legos from the giant legoland store and a new shirt.

Going to Epcot tomorrow.
