One of my goals in this blog is to be as straight forward as possible. I don't like when people don't use first names and what not and generally act vague. In this scenario, however it is unavoidable.
Its very important I get this off my chest. You see for the last four days, I've been in a game of cat and also cat with someone about a part in Gorgon's Eye. A reasonably important part we can't complete the movie without.
This role is of course that of Wendy, the unfortunate lover of William Clark, and a center figure of the movies conflict. She is essentially a symbol of innocence, love and purity that is in three scenes and generally plays the role of damsel in distress. She's a very generic character in a script full of deconstructions, badasses, and Alex Levines.
Why the fuck is it so hard to find an actress to play her?
Here's the reason: She has a make out scene.
One brief, extremely relevant make out scene with the lead (who isn't bad looking) and anyone showing any interest in the role bails out. Is this elementary school or something? If college has taught me anything its that kissing is meaningless unless you actually care about the person. Its not saying "I love you" or even saying your committed to the person. The nerve endings on your lips are sensitive so it feels really good. That's about it. Stop being immature pansies.
Its because of this casting issue that I've been having to pull all the stops out and contact just about every acting camp adequateness that will still talk to me. Something you should know: Acting camp girls are batshit insane.
I have never texted this much in my life. I seriously think my texting bill may be in the thousands this much because of this one girl.
And you know, I probably won't even get any of them to do it. One of them in particular changes the subject whenever I say the word "movie". Or "Acting".
This is getting old.
This is getting really annoying.
Would somebody please grow some balls (metaphorically) and just take the fucking part?
