REsident Evil: Like Zorc with Zombies and Graphics

Started playing Resident Evil: Remake. I've heard mixed things about it, which is pretty understandable. While I don't like it nearly as much as Resident Evil 4 (which is far more action based and stars Leon Kennedy, probably my favorite protagonist in any video game other than Doom) its still pretty cool.

I think the biggest difference other than the controls (like driving a tank) is the general atmosphere. Its in a zombie infested mega mansion, at night time during a lighting storm. The animation is excellent to the point that the mutilated reanimated corpses are quite terrifying. I've been enjoying it very much, especially with the commentary of my roommate. One instance of this involved a key that was on the floor early on:

Eddie: Hey there's a key there. I should go grab it so I don't have to keep on wandering around.
Joey: Don't.
Eddie: Why not?
Joey: Something bad will happen. No one just leaves a key lying around on the floor.
Eddie: They did in Resident Evil 4.
Joey: Yeah, but there weren't tracks leading up to the key and giant suits of armor lying around too.
Eddie: There were definately parasite infested suits of armor.
Joey: Fine. Don't blame me when you die.
*takes the key... Immediately the suits of armor move, 2 blocking the escape path and a third sporting what appears to be a power drill*
Eddie: Fuck...
Joey: Try shooting it.
Eddie: Its not wor---- Crap. I'm dead.

Also different is the puzzle solving. These are really needlessly confusing, as opposed to 4 where they were easy. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, merely a difference.

Anyway, planning on getting a wii once I get home, as well as smash bros brawl and Umbrella Chronicles, both which look awesome.

Good times will be had by all.
